Queue Callback is a call queue feature that allows callers to leave the queue without losing their position. Instead of waiting on hold, callers can request a callback and hang up. When their turn arrives, VoiceStack automatically places a call to the caller and connects them with the next available agent.
How Queue Callback Works
- A caller enters a call queue.
- The queue experiences longer-than-usual wait times.
- The caller is offered the option to request a callback.
- The caller confirms the callback request and ends the call.
- The caller's position in the queue is preserved.
- When an agent becomes available, VoiceStack automatically calls the customer back.
- The customer is connected to the agent.
Benefits of Queue Callback
- Reduce Caller Frustration.
- Lower Call Abandonment Rates.
- Improve Customer Satisfaction.
- Support Busy Periods.
| Note: Queue Callback preserves a caller's place in line, but the actual callback time may vary depending on agent availability and queue conditions. |
Example
A patient calls a medical practice during a busy morning and is informed that the estimated wait time is 15 minutes. Rather than waiting on hold, the patient requests a callback. VoiceStack saves the patient's place in the queue and automatically calls them back when an agent becomes available, connecting them directly to the next available staff member.
