The Caller ID Prefix feature ensures that the outgoing calls display a consistent and familiar number, even when placed from different locations or devices. Let’s see how to create a Caller ID Prefix.
Create a New Caller ID Prefix
1. Navigate to Configuration > Caller ID > Caller ID Prefix.
- The Caller ID Prefix screen displays a list of all registered caller IDs. You can narrow down the search using the search option.
This displays a list of the following:
- Caller ID (Phone number used for outbound calls)
- Caller ID Type (In this case, "PhoneNumber")
- Caller ID Prefix (A numerical prefix assigned to the caller ID)
- Action column with a "Delete" option for each entry.
2. Click Create Prefix.
- A Pop-up window shows up.
3. Specify the following details:
- You can set a Caller ID Prefix as a two-digit number.
- For Caller ID Type, it is set as Phone Number by default. Another option would be to add a Verified Number.
- For Caller ID, you can set the phone number from the drop-down.
4. Click on Create Prefix to save the changes.
Remove an Existing Caller ID Prefix
1. Locate the Caller ID prefix to be deleted from the grid.
2. Click Delete.
3. Click Delete on the confirmation pop-up.
