In this article, you’ll learn how to set up and manage Hot Desking.
Configure Hot Desking for a Device
1. Navigate to Configuration > Calls > Devices.
2. Find the device you want to enable hot desking for and click Configure.
3. The Update Device modal appears. Click on the Hot Desking toggle button to enable it.
5. Once enabled, the Ring Groups option becomes available.
4. Click Update to save the changes.
| Note: Hot Desking is not available for the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) devices. |
Configure Hot Desking for Agents
1. Navigate to Configuration > Calls > Agent.
2. Find the agent you want to enable hot desking for and click Configure.
3. Click on the Hot Desking toggle button to enable it.
4. Click Update to save.
| Note: Ensure that both Device Type and Active Device are set to Deskphone in the Update Agent modal. |
Creating a Provisioning Profile for Agent
Provisioning Profile allows hot-desk agents to use shared devices while retaining their individual call settings and permissions. Creating a provisioning profile in the Admin App is required when setting up a hot desk agent on a shared device.

Setting Up Your Deskphone for Hot Desking
1. Log in to the desk phone.
2. Enter your Extension and Desk Phone Password, then press the soft key below the screen.
3. You are now logged in to the desk phone.
4. To log out, select the Log Out line key on the left.
