How to Send a New Text Message
1. From the left navigation pane, select Text Messages.
2. Click the New Message icon.
3. In the recipient field, enter the patient’s phone number, or search by name if they are already saved in the contact directory.
Note: Ensure you are part of a message group before you start sending messages. If not, contact your admin.
4. Select the location.
5. Click the Chat button to open the conversation window.
Note: You can include text, links, templates, emojis, and image attachments (.jpeg, .jpg, .gif, .png) in your message.
6. After typing your message, click Send.
Tip: A typing indicator shows when another team member is replying, wait until it disappears to avoid duplicate messages.
- While texting, use quick actions. Click the Call icon to start a call, Create To-Do to set a reminder, or the three-dot menu(⋮) to block the contact or mark the message as unread.
Managing Text Messages
a. Use the searchable Location dropdown to instantly switch between locations to see only what’s relevant to assigned teams. You can select multiple locations at a time while filtering.
b. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to any contact name or number to access conversation management options:
- Mark Read/Unread: Marks the conversation as read and removes the unread indicator.
- Mark Flag: Flags the thread for follow-up or future review.
- Block Sender: Blocks the contact to prevent further incoming messages.
Tip: Use Mark Flag to keep track of important or pending conversations that require action later.
Applying Message Filter
Use the Message Filter option to refine your inbox view based on specific message types.
- Click Enable Message Filter to filter the messages you want to review.
- You can choose to include messages that are Read, Responded, Flagged, or Blocked, or to filter by System Messages or With Attachments.
- To return to the default view, click Disable Message Filter.
Tip: Use filters to focus on pending or priority messages without scrolling through the entire inbox.
Bulk Messaging Feature
Click Select to enable bulk selection mode.
- This allows you to select multiple conversations at once for batch actions such as marking as read, flagging, or clearing messages.
- You can select or deselect conversations using the checkboxes next to each thread.
Note: Bulk actions help agents manage large volumes of messages efficiently.
